YMCA’s annual ‘Kids Campaign’ helps keep kids active and social during a time of distancing

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City YMCA has named RCS Construction as the first ‘gold sponsor’ of its annual ‘Kids Campaign’.

The sponsorship will allow for over 100 Rapid City kids to experience and learn through YMCA programs.

The Kids Campaign provides after school programs and sports activities as well as Summer camps and more.

More than 2,000 kids are sponsored each year through the Kids Campaign.

Roger Gallimore, Executive Director for the YMCA of Rapid City said “you know under normal circumstances it’s very important that kids are involved in so many different activities and opportunities to grow and learn in so many different ways. It’s especially important now in this COVID environment where a time where sedentary activities have really taken over. Screen time is off the charts, it is important now to really engage in healthy active type of programs.”

It costs $100 to sponsor a child for the entire year.
