YFS welcomes Rep. Dust Johnson for a tour of new expansion
RAPID CITY S.D. – South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson will be visiting Youth & Family Services on Thursday. The visit will allow him to tour the organization’s building expansion project.
Rep. Johnson will receive a brief overview of the organization’s programs and services with an explanation of how they impact the community. Following this introduction, he will receive a tour of the current and expanded facilities.
YFS has nine different programs with services that impact children and families living in western South Dakota. YFS provides programs to more than 14,000 children and families each year, in every county in western South Dakota.
YFS will be expanding their campus at 120 East Adams Street, which was originally built in 2003. They have nearly doubled the number of children and families they serve since the original building was built, and therefore require more space. The expansion project will add 67,525 sq. ft. or indoor programs space and 32,794 sq. ft. of playground/outdoor space.
