Yellow Jackets fall to NW Missouri State in the Final Four

EVANSVILLE, IN – The Black Hills State men’s basketball team upset No. 1 Nova Southeastern on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The Yellow Jackets were hoping to pull off another upset on Thursday as they squared off against the defending national champions, Northwest Missouri State.

Unfortunately, the Bearcats defeated the Yellow Jackets, 70-57.

Joel Scott led BHSU with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Adam Moussa finished with 13 points while Sindou Cisse added nine points.

The Yellow Jackets finish the season with a record of 26-8.

A welcome home party for the Black Hills State men’s basketball team will take place on Friday, March 25

The team will have police and fire department escort from the Spearfish airport to the Young Center.

The team will travel on Colorado Boulevard to Main Street before turning left on Jackson and heading towards the campus.

Fans can either gather in downtown Spearfish or at the Young Center around 12:30 p.m.
