Yankton inmate escapes while on work release

YANKTON, S.D. – Inmate Jacob Abdo escaped from the state prison in Yankton on Friday.

He failed to return to the Yankton Community Work Center while on the work release program.

Abdo is a 25-year old Native American man, standing a little over 6 feet tall and approximately 175 pounds.

He is serving a 5-year sentence for receiving and transferring a stolen vehicle. If you see him or know of his whereabouts, contact law enforcement immediately.
