Meteorologist Erik Dean has the latest weather information in today's WxChat
After Mother Nature gave us all a run for our money this past weekend, we need to take a few seconds to do the following; Ready? Breathe in…Breathe out…Alright, we’re good.
Good Monday Morning,
Now that we’ve got our breather in, let’s see what is in store for the weather. First of all, some places are still dealing with a substantial amount of snow. Take a look at the scene from earlier today on our Deadwood TowerCam.
Deadwood was one of the hard hit areas this past weekend with a report of 15″ of snow. As you can see on the TowerCam, crews are out there working on getting the snow removed off of the sidewalks. If you live where a lot of snow is still on the sidewalks, and even streets, PLEASE use extra caution today. And massive kudos to the guys out there in Deadwood working on the snow removal.

The good news is, the majority of us are getting above freezing starting today. We will definitely be above there tomorrow with highs reaching into the upper 50s – low 60s. (Details on that in today’s VLOG.)
Much needed rain chances are still in the forecast, which is even better news. As a matter of fact, here’s the long range forecast. I only put the 6-10 Day Temperatures on here as the 8-14 day keeps us near normal.
Long range 6-10 day and 8-14 day outlooks keep us wetter than normal precipitation. At this point, anything that we get would be substantially helpful, especially as we head into our summer months. It’s hard to believe the 1st day of Summer is in 56 Days! (It starts on June 21st at 3:14 AM. HA! The time it starts is Pi! π)
Before I wrap up, here’s that snapshot I mentioned in the VLOG.
This tells you the difference between a Watch, a Warning, and an Emergency. As mentioned in the VLOG, you can print this out, so when we mention a Watch or a Warning, you know the lingo behind what we are saying.
Enjoy the rest of your Monday!
