Wrestling: Stevens defeats undermanned Custer team

RAPID CITY, S.D. – It’s hard to believe but we’re in the final stretch of the high school wrestling season.

As a matter of fact, the region tournaments are set to take place in a month.

In Class ‘A’, Rapid City Stevens is ranked number two in the latest polls, just behind Brandon Valley.

The Raiders continued their successful season on Thursday night by beating the Custer Wildcats, 63-10.

Stevens won five of the eight contested matches, including four by fall. Plus Custer had to forfeit six matches.

Stevens will compete in the East-West Duals on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Pierre.

Meanwhile, the Custer Wildcats will be participating in the Winner Invitational on Saturday.
