Woman pleads guilty to stepfather’s murder
RAPID CITY, S.D. — A woman has pleaded guilty to second degree murder after killing her stepfather last year.
Krystin Spotted Calf pleaded guilty in Rapid City federal court for the death of Jeffrey Janis Sr.
Janis died after Spotted Calf hit him in the head with a tire iron last August in Wanblee, S.D. She also attacked Janis’ son, injuring his head and scalp.
Spotted Calf faces up to life in prison.
