Woman, 83, dies after being thrown from vehicle in rollover
TUTHILL, S.D. – An 83-year-old woman is dead after a one-vehicle rollover north of Tuthill.
The accident happened Tuesday afternoon when a 2007 Cheverolet Malibu driving northbound on 237th Avenue failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway.
The vehicle entered the east ditch before tipping and rolling. The woman was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Her name is not being released pending notification of family. She was the only person involved.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
