Winter Weather Advisory in effect at midnight in the Black Hills

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from midnight Tuesday until 9 p.m. Wednesday in the northern Black Hills in South Dakota and Wyoming.

The total snow accumulations expected is three to six inches.

The cold wind chills could be as low as 20 below zero — this can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Use caution if traveling during this time — areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, and plan on slippery road conditions.
