Wind Cave National Park named acting superintendent

WIND CAVE NATIONAL PARK, S.D. – David J. Thomson is the Acting Superintendent of Wind Cave National Park following Vidal Dávila’s recent retirement.

Thomson is Regional Program Manager of the Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program for the National Park Service.

Prior to that he was a park landscape architect at several national parks including Rocky Mountain, Glacier, and Grand Teton.

Thomson is expected to serve at Wind Cave through the end of May.
