CUSTER STATE PARK, S.D. — Resurfacing of the western half of Wildlife Loop Road is set to resume Friday.

Wildlife Loop Road will be closed from Highway 87 to the junction of oak Draw Road and Wildlife loop Road at Prairie Trailhead.

If visitors want to access Wildlife Loop Road, they must do so via Highway 16A near the visitor center in Custer State Park.

Construction is expected to go until May 16.

Wildlife along the road will still be visible with the closures in place, and the Custer State Park dump station and all interior gravels within the park boundary will still be accessible during the project.

Four Mile Draw Road and Red Valley Road will also be closed at the Wildlife Loop Road Junction.
