Wild Bill Days kickoff Thursday, run through Saturday in Deadwood

DEADWOOD, S.D. – It’s Summertime and time for Wild Bill Days in Deadwood.

It all kicks off Thursday night in Outlaw Square at 8:15 p.m. with a free concert headlined by Arch Allies: America’s Premier Tribute Show.

Free concerts continue through Saturday with plenty of family-friendly events happening throughout Deadwood. Gold panning, the Dock Dogs Big Air Competition, History on the Lawn, and more.

Dave Ruth Jr., Mayor of Deadwood, says traffic through Deadwood is through the roof so be sure to plan ahead.

“We’re excited about that and happy to entertain all the visitors and guests that come as well as our locals,” said Ruth. “When you’re coming for Wild Bill Days, we encourage you to come early because there will be a lot of people. Come and enjoy being outside and enjoying the activities that Deadwood has to offer.”

Events start Friday at 10 a.m. and run through 11 p.m. with the Deadwood Midnight Cowboy Run 5K. On Saturday, the festivities are from 9 a.m. until the evening concerts wind down.
