Water line breaks on West Main, repairs begin Monday

RAPID CITY, S.D. — A water line break Saturday afternoon has caused the westbound traffic on West Main Street between West Boulevard and West Street to be reduced to one lane.

Officials say traffic impacts also include the westbound turning lane at the intersection of West Street, Main Street and St. Joseph Street.

Crews will start repairs beginning Monday morning, and a large area of concrete will need to be cut and removed in the affected area.

Water services will impact three to four businesses in the affected area until at least late Monday afternoon.

At this time, officials do not have a timeline for completion of repairs to the water line.
