Volleyball Roundup: Stevens completes season sweep of Central

Raiders improve to 14-1

RAPID CITY, S.D.  –  The Rapid City Stevens vollyeball team received the most first place votes in the latest South Dakota volleyball poll.

However, the Raiders are ranked second in the state behind Sioux Falls O‘Gorman.

But if the playoffs were to start today, Stevens would be the number one seed.

The Raiders returned to action on Tuesday night for the first time in 10 days.

Stevens defeated Rapid City Central for the second time this season by scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-11.

The Raiders improve to 14-1 while the Cobblers fall to 7-12.

Stevens will compete in the Scottsbluff Tournament on Sept. 28-29. Central is off now until Oct. 2 when the Cobblers host the Douglas Patriots.
