Volleyball: Hardrockers win five-set thriller over the Eagles

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Mines volleyball team wrapped up the regular season on Friday with a win over Chadron State in five sets 19-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-22, 15-4.

Shyann Bastian led the Hardrockers with 16 kills, 23 assists and 20 digs.

Jacey Koethe added 14 kills and Lily Bartling had 12 kills.

As a team, the Hardrockers had 58 kills, 56 assists and 90 digs.

Former Rapid City Central standout, Rhiannon Nez, led the Eagles with 10 kills.

South Dakota Mines improves to 5-9 overall and 5-7 in the conference.

The Hardrockers are in position to qualify for their first-ever RMAC Tournament which runs April 8-10.
