“Voice of the Rapid City Rush,” Mark Binetti, leaving after eight seasons

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Rush’s Senior Communications Director, Mark Binetti, has announced that he will be leaving the Rush after eight seasons.
The “Voice of the Rapid City Rush” will go to California and join the AHL-affiliate Stockton Heat.

Binetti has been with the Rush since October 2013 and was a finalist for the 2020 ECHL Public Relations/Broadcaster of the Year Award. Before joining the Rush family, he was a broadcast assistant with the Charlotte Checkers and a play-by-play broadcaster for Post 22 Hardhats baseball.
“I can’t express enough how excited I am to join the Stockton Heat and the Calgary Flames family after eight years with the Rush,” said Binetti in a release by the Stockton Heat. “I look forward to bringing all the experience I’ve gained to the microphone for Heat fans and the organization. I look forward to forging strong relationships with our fans, our partners and our local media and can’t wait to get out in the Stockton community.”
Binetti voiced 585 consecutive games during his career with the Rush. He will be the new play-by-play voice of Stockton Heat Hockey; the 2021-22 season starts October 15.
