A family owned, downtown Rapid City business is staying in the family and will continue to offer high quality olive oil.
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Casey VanVleck is taking the ownership of Vita Sana Olive Oil from her parents.
Casey says, “We have and we’ve been here for eight years. We have recently been expanding lines and we have continued to supply the freshest and the highest quality of oil, olive oil and extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegars to the Rapid City area.”
Casey says that customer service is important to her business as she takes over, expanding.
“We walk you through our extra virgin olive oils and we give you a little background in lesson of why we’re here and what we do and why we supply what we supply. And then you are welcome and invited to taste any of our products,” she says.
Casey also explains, that it’s all about a tasting experience, saying, “That’s what we’ve strived to do. We are a Veronica Foods store. They have strived for their entire existence over 100 years, third-generation Italian family to supply the freshest and the highest that they can possibly ever find.”
Casey explains some of the health benefits of olive oil, “So there’s anti-inflammatory, there’s heart health and then digestion health are the big things. It’s a natural probiotic. ”
Casey goes onto mention that olive oil can be used for much more than cooking, but that it will also excite your cooking experience, saying, “I mean, it’s so easy to add an extra virgin or even switch to a flavored and make chicken, you know, bland chicken that taste herby and juicy and is just delicious and inviting, and it’s so easy to use.”
