Victims identified in Pine Ridge triple homicide

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Three people killed inside a home on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the early morning of Wednesday, January 5, have been identified in a release from the FBI and the Oglala Sioux Department of Public Safety.

The bodies of Alma Garneaux, 38, Jamie Graham, also 38, and Michael White Plume Sr., 39, were found shot to death inside a home in Wounded Knee. 

According to the release, FBI agents from the Rapid City Resident Agency, working in connection the Oglala Sioux Department of Public Safety, have developed significant leads on a person of interest believed to be responsible for the killings. 

That suspect, who has not yet been identified, is being held on unrelated charges. Formal charges related to the homicides are pending. 

The circumstances surrounding the homicides are still under investigation, but law enforcement maintains that there is no continued danger to the public surrounding this investigation.
