Valentine’s Day singing grams carrying a tune and treats for lucky residents

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Love songs performed in the style of a barbershop quartet filled the air around Rapid City on Valentine’s Day Monday.

Barbershop QuartetThe Mount Rushmore Chapter of the Shrine of Democracy Chorus spread their love throughout the city with three groups singing valentine grams while bringing tunes and treats to some special sweets.

“They get a rose, some candy and a card tailor-made for them,” Shrine of Democracy Chorus Member, Clayton Southwick said. “And we just love singing. So, that’s what we do.”

The Shrine of Democracy Chorus has its annual spring show in May and if you’re interested in sending a singing valentine to someone 52 weeks from now, it’s $50.
