Divers recover body from Angostura Reservoir Wednesday night
UPDATE (7/1/21 @ 8:35 a.m.): Fall River County Emergency Manager Frank Maynard confirms that divers recovered a body from Angostura Reservoir around 7 p.m. Wednesday night. The drowning was not boating-related. Officials plan to perform an autopsy on Thursday.

The name of the drowning victim has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
ANGOSTURA RESERVOIR, S.D. — Breaker’s Beach on the north side of Angostura Reservoir was closed to the public Wednesday afternoon as emergency personnel were called out to an incident.
Law enforcement and first responders, including Fall River County Emergency Management, the Rapid City/Pennington County Water Rescue Team, and Pennington County Search and Rescue, were on-scene for an operation, the details of which have not been released at this time.
