Box Elder Police seeking help to identify two suspects in theft investigation

BOX ELDER, S.D. — The Box Elder Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a credit card and identity theft investigation.

On June 22, a wallet was reported stolen at the Flying J in Box Elder. Soon thereafter, the unidentified individuals began using the credit cards from the stolen wallet at various businesses in the Rapid City area.


Box Elder Police say they are looking at several charges, including Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property (Class 2 Misdemeanor), Use of a Credit Card to Obtain Property or Services (Class 5 Felony), and Identity Theft (Class 6 Felony).

Anyone who recognizes either man is asked to call (605) 923-1401 and leave a message for Officer Jason Brown.
