United Way of the Black Hills is in their last week of fundraising efforts for 2019

RAPID CITY, S.D. –With a Dec. 31st deadline to make their goal of $2.2 million, United Way of the Black Hills is asking for the community’s help.

“Everything has to be in or postmarked by December 31st,” says Executive Director, Jamie Toennies. “So yeah, we’re feeling a little stressed here, but it’s so important for us [having] these dollars. They make such a difference in our community. They stay local, helping our-non-profits do the work that they do.”

The non-profit is 92 percent of the way – $180,000 or so- from their goal. Money will be distributed to their 50 organizations that help with reaching a variety of community needs from literacy, children and more.

Anyone can donate, and every bit helps. Donations can be delivered, in person, to United Way’s office in Rapid City. Other options include mailing a check, calling the offices or checking out their website.
