United States Postal Service suspends delivery operations

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The United States Postal Service will be suspending delivery operations on Wednesday, January 30, to all of South Dakota and North Dakota.

The suspension is due to deteriorating weather conditions caused by a polar vortex event.

There will be no mail delivery or pick-up services for businesses or collection boxes. There will also be no package pick-up services for residential and commercial properties.

USPS services are expected to resume after Wednesday.
