Uber offering free COVID-19 vaccination rides

Beginning Tuesday, May 25, Uber is offering free rides to and from COVID-19 vaccination sites.

UNITED STATES — Uber is now offering free rides to anyone who’s heading to a vaccination station.

Starting Tuesday, you can receive for free rides two for each vaccine trip – up to $25 off each ride in the Uber app through the Fourth of July.

The offer comes in partnership with the White House, in order to reach the goal of having 70-percent of Americans vaccinated.

Once you’ve booked an appointment that requires one, download the Uber app and follow the following steps:

  1. Open the Uber app and tap ‘Vaccine
  2. Tap ‘Get your free ride’, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., through July 4
  3. Enter the zip code of your appointment to find the location you are going to or coming from
  4. Select your provider location and your ride option, free up to $25 each way. Your drivers will be paid in full, but if you want to give some extra thanks to your drivers, remember to leave a tip!
