Tyler Coulter: 2020 Blaine Jarvis “Heart and Soul Award” winner

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Rush announced on Thursday that forward Tyler Coulter is the 2020 recipient of the Blaine Jarvis “Heart and Soul Award,” the organization’s highest individual honor.

Coulter joined the Rush this season and earned 24 goals and 15 assists for a total of 39 points in 47 games.

Coulter was also involved in many events off the ice including the ‘Badge Buddies’ program.


Tyler Coulter is the recipient of the 2020 Blaine Jarvis “Heart and Soul Award.”The ‘Heart and Soul’ award is named after Blaine Jarvis who spent two seasons in a Rush uniform.

He passed away in an accident in January of 2016 at the age of 31.

Coulter is the third consecutive rookie to earn the honor.

Past winners include Danny Battochio, Riley Weselowski, Josh Elmes and Cedric Montminy.
