Gun recovered from Countryside Mobile Estates shooting that injured 2

The latest on a shooting at Countryside Mobile Estates.

2:25 p.m.

The injuries of two men shot at Countryside Mobile Estates do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police say the shooting happened at lot #359, but the victims were found at separate locations within the trailer park.

The handgun believed to be involved has been recovered.

Two shot overnight in Rapid City mobile home community

1:05 a.m.

Two people are in surgery at Regional Health Rapid City Hospital at this hour. They’re victims of gunfire at a mobile home in the Countryside Mobile Estates at 1516 E. St. Patrick Street.

Rapid City Police say they received a call about a shooting at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday. Arriving on scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds. Both were able to speak with police before being transported to the hospital.

Police are not sure of the relationship between the two men, but they say the men are not related.

Officers are questioning a number of witnesses and conducting a search of the mobile home where the shooting occurred.

So far, no arrests have been made, but police believe they have the situation contained and that there is no risk to the public.
