Two Rapid City girls show their appreciation to sheriff’s deputies, fire department

RAPID CITY, S.D. — More support for law enforcement locally on Tuesday – two girls from Fountain Springs Church surprising Pennington County Sheriff’s Deputies with a token of appreciation.

The girls, Tinsley O’Donnell, 7, and Riley Carroll, 5, drew pictures for the deputies that said “thank you for protecting us” and dropped them off for all to enjoy.

The girls’ grandmother says it’s a continuation of Fountain Springs’ “Love Week,” where the kids learned to do random acts of kindness – having so much fun, they didn’t want to stop.

“They had so much fun they asked me to continue it, so we’re doing this today – and they made posters to bring to the sheriff’s and the police to let them know that they appreciate them protecting them,” Allyson Brewster, the girls’ grandmother, said.

The girls also dropped off pictures at the Rapid City Fire Department as well.
