Two Rapid City Central student-athletes sign letters of intent

A pair of Rapid City Central student-athletes signed national letters of intent this week.

Jaleel Snipes will play football next year at Presentation College in Aberdeen. Snipes played on offense for most of his high school career until last fall, when he played on the defensive line.

But Snipes will return to the offensive side of the ball and play running back for the Saints.

"It’s going to feel really nice to be back on the offensive side," Jaleel Snipes said. "I’ve always loved that position just because they get to hit people and all that."

In addition, Bridger Kraye signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to compete in wrestling next year at Minnesota State University – Mankato.

The Rapid City Central wrestler posted a record of 55 and 9 this year and finished second at the state tournament at 182 pounds.

Kraye considered a few different schools, but felt Minnesota State University – Mankato was the best choice.

"They had a civil engineering degree there and DII wrestling," Bridger Kraye said. So it was a good fit there. And the coaches are great. They towns pretty cool also."
