Two people injured in rollover in Custer County

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash on Ghost Canyon Road in Custer County Thursday morning, according to Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

According to CCSO, at around 9:40 a.m., a 2006 Dodge Durango lost control while traveling southbound on Ghost Canyon Road and slid onto its passenger side. Two of the vehicle’s three occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

They were extracted from the vehicle by Battle Creek Fire Department, and transported by ambulance, CCSO said.

Three dogs were in the vehicle at the time of the crash but were not injured, according to CCSO.

Battle Creek Fire Department, Keystone Ambulance, Rapid City Fire Department, and South Dakota Highway Patrol also responded to the accident.
