Missing 12 Year Olds

UPDATE (7:11 p.m.) — Both children have been found safe.

PENNINGTON COUNTY, SD – Two children left Southwest Middle School at 12:35 pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 and have gone missing.

The missing children are 12-year-olds Xavier Wangen and Takoda Lynch, both of Rapid City. Both boys are predominantly dressed in black. Law Enforcement is actively looking for the children.

Xavier Wangen is a 12 year old Caucasian. He stands 5’4”, weighs 110 pounds, has blue eyes, short brown hair, and is described as wearing blue shoes and a black hoodie with the number 23 in white on his back.

Takoda Lynch is described as a 12 year old Native American. He is 5’1”, 110 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black and white shoes.
Both children left the school unaccompanied and we have reason to be concerned about their wellbeing.
