Two men charged for stabbing death of Kyle man

KYLE, S.D. – Two men were arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the stabbing death of a Kyle man.

Antoine Joey Makes Good, 34, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Kyle. Vinnie Makes Good, 32, was arrested Thursday morning in Kyle. Both are charged with second-degree murder for the stabbing death of Hank O’Rourke in Kyle on November 1.

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigations are handling the case.

OST Chief of Police Robert Ecoffey says O’Rourke’s body was found in a Kyle residence in the morning. Citing the on-going investigation, Ecoffey was unable to comment on why the arrests came a month and a half after the homicide took place.

As of Thursday afternoon, both men were booked in the Pennington County Jail.
