Two Kyle men charged for 2016 shooting death of Todd Little Bull

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Two men from Kyle have been charged for the 2016 shooting death of Todd Little Bull.

Stetson Eagle Elk, 28, and Gary Little Bull, Jr., 29, both of Kyle, were charged January 12 and 13, respectively.

Eagle Elk is charged with first-degree murder and for causing death by using and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Little Bull, Jr. is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

Todd Little Bull was shot and killed August 2, 2016 on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Court documents containing more information remain sealed.

Both Eagle Elk and Little Bull, Jr. appeared in federal court in Rapid City Friday.

The two men pleaded not guilty and will remain in custody. Their next hearing is set for January 26 at 1 p.m.
