Two athletes sign letters of intent to compete at the next level
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Two student athletes from Rapid City Christian plan to make the jump to the next level.
Presley Myers, University of Northwestern, Football
Presley Myers signed a letter of intent on Monday to play football this fall at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The senior played wide receiver and safety last year for the Comets.
But he plans to play wide receiver for the Eagles.
“I grew up with the dream to play sports in college and just have the opportunity to do so and represent my family in college,” said Presley Myers. “It means a lot to me to be one of the first people in my family to go to college. It’s definitely something. It’s more than a blessing. It’s more than I can really imagine.”
Conrad Barrozo, University of Minnesota – Morris, Track and Field
Conrad Barrozo will compete in track and field next year at the University of Minnesota – Morris.
Barrozo recently finished first in the 110 meter hurdles at the Western Great Plains Conference track meet.
He also placed second in the 300 meter hurdles at conference and sixth in the triple jump.
Here’s what Barrozo had to say when asked why he decided to sign with the Cougars.
“The faculty. Especially the coach and administration,” said Conrad Barrozo. “Every thing about the other teammates have written me stuff. Just everyone seems so nice there.”
