Turkeys and lights and wreaths, oh my!
Rapid City is getting ready to show off this holiday season, but there's work to be done
RAPID CITY, S.D. – It’s getting to that time of year, and Rapid City is gearing up for the holidays.
The holiday wonderland transformation is going to happen over the next two weeks over areas of Halley Park, Wildon Park and Kansas City Street.
Among Christmas lights, city parks maintenance says they’re going to add large wreaths and banners in the downtown core area.
Crews say that Wilson Park will be read in time for the Nov. 20 tree lighting ceremony and activities, and that the downtown area will be ready for the festival of lights parade Saturday, Nov. 24.
