Trump says ‘toughest’ weeks ahead as coronavirus spreads

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says the United States is heading into what he’s says could be the its “toughest” weeks as coronavirus cases swell nationwide.

And he’s warning states not to inflate their needs for critical medical equipment. Trump says at a White House briefing that “there will be a lot of death, unfortunately. There will be death.”

Trump says the goal is to stay several days ahead of critical medical needs in each state. But he also is suggesting that states are asking for more medical supplies than they really needed.
