Trump announces Flynn pardon

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump says he has pardoned his former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Flynn, who pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts, served as President Trump’s first National Security Adviser.
The announcement was made via Twitter, with Trump offering congratulations to Flynn and his family.
