Titans defeat Newcastle at Sturgis Baseball Rally Tournament
Sturgis will play Billings in the finals on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
STURGIS, S.D. — The Sturgis Titans opened the 2nd Annual Sturgis Rally Baseball Tournament on Friday night with a convincing win over the Cats from Douglas, Wyoming.
Sturgis followed that up with another victory on Saturday. The Titans shut out Newcastle, Wyoming in five innings, 13-0.
David Anderson led the Titans with two hits and four RBIs.
Meanwhile, both Devin Odle and Colton Cruickshank were outstanding on the mound for Sturgis.
Odle pitched three innings and had five strikeouts, while Cruickshank worked two innings finished with three strikeouts.
The Titans, who have won 10 out of their last 12 games, will play Billings on Sunday in the championship game at 3:00 p.m.
Both Sturgis and Billings are undefeated in the tournament.
