Three accused of kidnapping an FBI Agent make first appearance in court

12 18 Rc Federal Courthouse File Vomp400 00 00 00still001Rapid City, S.D – Three accused of kidnapping an FBI agent, stealing a Dodge Durango, and using a deadly weapon to commit a crime made their first appearance in court on Friday in Rapid City.

Juan Francisco Alvarez-Sorto, Deyvin Morales, and Lourdes Alondra Bonilla are charged with kidnapping, carjacking, and brandishing a fire arm to commit violence.

For the kidnapping charge, Alvarez-Sorto, Morales, and Bonilla, could face up to life, $250,000 fine, or both.

The carjacking charge is up to 15 years in prison, $250,000 fine, or both and the brandishing of a firearm is a minimum of 7 years to life.

All accused have entered into a not-guilty plea on all counts and remain in custody.
