Theodore Roosevelt shares his thoughts on the 4th of July
KEYSTONE, S.D. — Mount Rushmore National Memorial is the home to 4 famous faces. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. And I actually got the chance to speak with President Theodore Roosevelt himself.
Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States of America. Nowadays he roams the Mount Rushmore National Memorial to share his knowledge with those who visit. And the 4th of July is a special day in America history, a day former President Roosevelt holds in high regard.
“Well what better place to be on our birthday then Mount Rushmore National Memorial.” Said Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States.
Theodore Roosevelt enjoys sharing his thoughts and ideas with people across the U.S. on what he believes will make America the best country it can be.
“I enjoy it immensely when I have an opportunity to visit with them and talk with them and share stories with them. Of course I have been known to talk more than listen but that the nature of my personalty.”
Roosevelt also believes that the 4th of July is the perfect way to bring Americans together.
“We are not hyphenated Americans, we are not this American or that American, we are Americans and we should treat and act accordingly. To the grand scheme whatever God’s plan is for us when he brought such great men together as our founding fathers.”
Theodore Roosevelt is memorialized on top of Mount Rushmore as 1 of 4 Presidents who encompass America’s values.
