The steaks have never been better than at Firehouse Brewing Company for 2023 Restaurant Week

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Cowboy Fondue, the 2023 Restaurant Week special at Firehouse Brewing Company in downtown Rapid City, is sure to please steak lovers near and far. NC1 caught up with Rob, the general manager of Firehouse, to see behind the scenes of how this amazing dish is created.

Housed in the original Rapid City Firehouse, a structure built in 1915, it is listed on the National Historic Register. The bar is adorned with authentic South Dakota firefighting memorabilia from the days of Rapid City’s first fire brigades – including the original fire pole, ladders, patches and more. Firehouse is also South Dakota’s first brew pub. Currently, the restaurant features a rotating menu of craft beers with as many as eight or nine beers displayed on draft. Firehouse is planning on expanding its quantities of draft beers as early as this spring. Firehouse also makes its own wines and has a separate tasting room.

 

The Cowboy Fondue is close to a pound of bone-in prime ribeye seasoned and then deep-fried in peanut oil. This Restaurant Week special comes with a side salad, your choice of sides and a Firehouse beer or wine. All of this for $43! Why $43? Well, that’s how many presidential statues are located in Downtown Rapid City. This special is exclusive to Restaurant Week and is offered starting at 4 p.m. each night through Sunday, January 22, 2023.
