The Good Witch Cake Shop offers sweet treats with a Halloween theme
The Good Witch Cake Shop in Sturgis is owned by Shelby Spratt and operated by herself and her son, Tristen. They opened the shop just before the COVID-19 pandemic began, but the business is still going strong.
Shelby went to culinary school right after high school, working in many different places before eventually ending up in Sturgis. She came up with the shop’s name from her love of witches and everything Halloween related.

The Good Witch Cake Shop offers sweet treats like:
- Brownies
- Cinnamon Rolls
- Cupcakes
- Lemon Bars
- Muffins
- Scones
- Wedding Cakes
Shelby says all of the portions they make are going to be big because she never wants you to leave feeling hungry.
The shop is located on Lazelle Street in Sturgis next to Pizza Ranch. Shelby also says they get quite a bit of business as people are traveling up to Deadwood and back.
The Good Witch Cake Shop is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
