The Erik Files: We made it to another weekend!
International Talk Like A Pirate Day is tomorrow.
**THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY: On this date in 1993: A thunderstorm dumped 1.87 inches of rain near Harrington in rural Bennett County. Lightning caused nearly $5,000 in damage to a local home.**
Well Folks, we have successfully made it to another weekend. Unlike last week, we didn’t see snow. (We didn’t see any rain either, of which we really need.) The good news is, there is a chance of rain on Saturday Night. The Bad news with that is, T-Storms are possible as well. We need the rain, we don’t need the lightning.
FIRE WEATHER WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED. This is for Sheridan, Johnson, Campbell, Crook & Weston County. This starts at 12:00 PM tomorrow, and lasts until 8:00 PM.
Take a look at this, lots of sunshine again today. HOWEVER: The clouds will thicken as we roll into the evening/overnight hours.
Mostly Sunny skies will remain in the forecast, as well as the haze. A nice light wind will be in the forecast as well. Highs will be in the 70’s with Wind out of the South @ 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Clouds will start to increase. We’ll have a little bit of a breeze again. The haze will still be out. Overnight lows in the 50’s. Wind will stay out of the south.
On Saturday, we’ll have a 20% chance of evening T-Storms. The clouds will increase throughout the day. After that, we’ll cool off on Sunday with highs in the upper 70’s. Fall starts Tuesday, and it won’t really feel much like it with that high of 84.
Enjoy your weekend!
