Sturgis Titans split doubleheader with Dickinson in final home games

STURGIS, S.D. – In the final homes games of the regular season, the Sturgis Titans splits two games with the Dickinson Roughriders on Monday night.

The Titans dominated the first game winning by final score of 15-5.

Nick Anderson led Sturgis with three hits and three RBIs.

Carl Nash pitched four and two thirds innings for the Titans and struck out six.



Dickinson 10, Sturgis Titans 7

Meanwhile in the second game of the doubleheader, Dickinson scored five runs in the seventh inning and beat the Titans, 10-7.

With it tied at seven, Dickinson’s Nathaniel Jilek hit a three-run homer to secure the victory for the Roughriders.

The Titans are now 16-11 on the season.

Sturgis will travel to Douglas, Wyoming on Friday to play in the Douglas Tournament.
