STURGIS, S.D.  The 18th Annual Sturgis Mayor’s Ride took place Monday outside of the Sturgis Community Center.

The Mayor’s Ride gives bikers a great opportunity to see the Black Hills. This year riders went up to Mount Rushmore for a group photo before heading to Custer State Park.

“It’s a wonderful turnout, it’s a beautiful ride through the hills for charity,” said Sturgis Mayor, Mark Carstensen. “I mean it’s a beautiful day, the reason for the ride is to enjoy the Black Hills but give back to the people that help us everyday.”

All proceeds from the Mayor’s Ride go to first responders and emergency services to help keep the public safe during the Rally.
