STM claims spot in boys state tournament with win over McLaughlin; Check out photos and highlights
RAPID CITY, S.D. – St. Thomas More clinched the final spot in State ‘A’ boys basketball tournament.
The Cavaliers defeated the McLaughlin Mustangs on Thursday in the SoDak 16 by a final score of 52-34.
Lee Neugebauer led STM with 23 points and five rebounds.
On the other hand, the Mustangs were led by Jre Antelope with 12 points.
St. Thomas More advances to the Class ‘A’ state boys basketball tournament for the fifth year in a row.
The Cavaliers, who are 20-2 on the season, will face Elk Point-Jefferson in the opening round on Thursday, March 16 in Sioux Falls.

The Faith Longhorns defeated Northwestern on Thursday, 75-64.
Faith advances to the State ‘B’ boys basketball tournament in Aberdeen.
The Longhorns will square off against White River in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 16.
