STM, Belle Fourche girls advance to State ‘A’ Basketball Tournament

WALL, S.D. – The SoDak 16 games were held Thursday in Class A and B girls basketball.

The winners from each contest earned a berth in their respective state tournaments.

St. Thomas More punched a ticket to the Class A state tournament for the eighth year in row.

The Cavaliers knocked off Miller, 61-27.

St. Thomas More now enters the state tournament as the number one seed.

The Cavaliers will play McCook Central-Montrose in the opening round on Thursday, March 11 at 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, the Belle Fourche Broncs also qualified for the State A Tournament.

The Broncs outlasted Parkston, 50-46.

Belle Fourche opens the state tournament against Hamlin on March 11 at 6 p.m.
