Spearfish survey asking residents input on recreation master plan

SPEARFISH, S.D. — The City of Spearfish is asking residents for input in their parks and recreation master plan starting Monday.

Feedback will be collected through a survey and is open is to anyone who is a user of the recreational outdoors in Spearfish. Officials say the survey will provide foresight into future planning — and will also be used in their decision-making for the rec center, rec path, cemetery and sports fields.

The survey can be taken online or a paper copy can be requested in person on the second floor of Spearfish city hall. The deadline is October 13. Participants can remain anonymous.
