Spearfish boys golf wins Black Hills Conference Title

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Last week, the Spearfish boys golf team finished first at the Spearfish Invitational.

The Spartans turned in another strong performance on Monday and won the Black Hills Conference Championship at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club.

Spearfish finished with a team score of 330 followed by Custer with 360.

The Spartans have now won the Black Hills Conference Championship for the fourth year in a row.

Sam Grout from Spearfish was the medalist. He shot a 70 and finished 1-under par.

Several teams that competed in the BHC Golf Championship will now play in the Region 4A Golf Tournament.

It will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 at the Hart Ranch Golf Course south of Rapid City.
