RAPID CITY, S.D. — The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is once again ranked as the best engineering school in the country for return of investment.

This is the 2nd year that the School of Mines has received this ranking, meaning the students attending the School of Mines are getting the most out of the money they are paying to go to school.  The average annual price for in state tuition at Mines is 21,000 per year and students graduating from Mines are getting average salaries of over 60,000 making the return on their investment in school that much more worth it.

“We are giving in state tuition for all the surrounding states or all the states that touch South Dakota in addition to Colorado.” said Lance Roberts, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the School of Mines. “So they can come here, pay in state tuition and then get a really good paying job when they get out of here. Our placement rate is 97% we are trying to increase that even more so chances of getting a job are really good and chances of getting a really good paying job are very good.”
