South Dakota receives second presidential disaster declaration

PIERRE, S.D. — Governor Kristi Noem announced that more federal disaster aid has been approved for South Dakota.

President Donald Trump approved the state’s request for a second presidential disaster declaration. This will allow federal funds to be used to help local governments recover from property damage sustained during the severe storms and flooding.

FEMA is still South Dakota from the first disaster declaration, and will continue to work with the funds
